Dark Skies and Bright Ideas An Educator's Guide to Navigating the Universe by Teri Bellows and Patricia Totten
This is a curriculum that can easily be implemented to provide a teacher and student friendly experience, and it is an excellent introduction to Astronomy. The book was written by two high school teacher-astronomers, and has been field tested in the classroom since 1995. Units are in reproducible packets that include notes, activities and review, so each student keeps a notebook that becomes their own personal astronomy workbook.
