Crescent Suns Under a Tree - 2017 Total Solar Eclipse
Hundreds of crescent Sun images appear on the concrete walkway under a shade tree durning the partial phases the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. This effect happens because the small gaps between the tree leaves act as pinhole cameras and project images of the eclipsed Sun onto the ground below.
